Drawing on decades of experience in New York City and around the world, International Orange boasts a palette that is wide-ranging. Mike Gordon Band drummer / percussionist Todd “t.ice” Isler infuses jazz with a strong swagger, tying together his knowledge of R&B, funk and world music influences from Africa, India and Brazil to bear on this dynamic threesome.

Guitarist David Phelps flies full speed under the radar, blending music from different continents and styles in a whirlwind of nuance and sonic transcendence. His use of tapping and vibrato-bar techniques, rhythmic cycles, and electronic guitar pedals expands the scope of his very personal statements.

While studying economics in Japan, Gaku Takanashi played bass for many prominent Japanese pop stars. Twenty years ago, he experienced a musical epiphany and came to New York. He has no regrets; currently, his work includes playing with many jazz, R&B and reggae musicians.
