TORONTO - Two Toronto police officers and three correctional officers were charged Thursday with drug- and money laundering-related offences after a lengthy police investigation resulted in the arrests of 20 people.

Constables Patrick Lee, an eight-year veteran of the force and Kevin Bourne, a nine-year veteran, face a series of charges related to a grow-op in York Region, near Toronto.

The officers have been suspended with pay -- as is the rule in Ontario when a police officer is investigated for criminal activity -- but won't be paid for their time in police custody.
