Huge congratulations to HIGH TIMES alums Natasha Lewin and Sarah Newton! The pottastic duo just won Best Feature-Length Screenplay at the Comedy Ninja Film Festival in Los Angeles. The festival was created to “promote the funniest films and scripts from independent writers, directors and performers from around the globe.”

Former managing editor Lewin and Miss High Times 2007 Newton paired up to write Stoner Road, and took home top honors at the Laugh Factory-sponsored film fest. We haven’t read their sure-to-be-hilarious script, but we’ll bet that their baked take on whatever it’s about will get picked up and made into a movie if any producers in LA have any sense! Are you listening, Hollywood?

The world needs more films from smart, funny stoners, especially women. We can’t wait to see Stoner Road on the silver screen. Go get ‘em, ladies!
