Police in Idaho are asking for local huntsmen to report any marijuana grow ops they happen to discover while out in the woods trying to kill everything from Bambi to Bigfoot this hunting season.
The Boise County Sheriff’s Department says they would like for all of the Idahoans traipsing through the boondocks of their anti-weed state to keep a watchful eye out for illegal marijuana grow facilities commonly found in heavily wooded areas.
That’s because Dale Rogers, a representative for the Boise County Sheriff’s Department, says that their office relies on hunters to provide them with leads as to the possible whereabouts of marijuana illegally growing in their neck of the woods. In fact, a tip received last year led to the seizure and destruction of a single crop valued at $100 million.
Rogers adds that tips from hunters and miners are the primary sources of information leading to the bust of illegal marijuana grow operations across Idaho.
