BENBOW -- More than 150 pot plants were destroyed Monday when two search warrants were served on two parcels of land by U.S. Postal inspectors, the FBI and the Humboldt County Sheriff's Drug Enforcement Unit.

The Enforcement Unit said the parcels were located off Blue Rock Road around 3 p.m.

About 24 growing plants, about 2 feet tall, were seized at the first parcel and 138 plants, ranging from 4 inches to 3 feet, were seized from the second parcel.

No one was found on either parcel.

The postal inspectors are handling the investigation, which originated when marijuana sent from someone in Humboldt County was found in the mail.
