What’s up Stashers! We’re back with episode four of Jen’s Music Stash and covering all things new. It’s a new year – happy 2013 btw! – and The Stash has moved into new digs and even is sporting a new look. Have you checked out our logo? It’s straight up pimpin’ and Jen’s excited to rock her new look.
All about BALLS Closing the lid on 2012, Jen threw down at all four nights of Phish at Madison Square Garden. Just as she’s close to figuring out the theme of the New Year Eve show, hilarity ensues and she regresses to her third grade self. What? It’s funny! Oh, and the shows were great too! Which night did Jen prefer? Is there a favorite? Does she gush a little too much about Mike Gordon? Tune in, turn on…and…
Show Me Your Numbers & Winners The holiday season is all about giving – and The Stash got on the giveaway train with two awesome Twitter contests. Congrats if you won a DVD/Blu-Ray combo of stoner comedy Ted or Ben Harper’s entire catalog! The Stash is always looking for cool giveaways, so get in touch if you want to help fill our readers' stash!
The Movement We informed you early on about Jen’s live music addiction, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that on January 1– while any sane person would be home nursing a hangover – Jen was out at a show. But it wasn’t just any ‘ol show, it was Rusted Root! This Pittsburgh-based band known for genre defying, energetic live shows is close to celebrating twenty years of music, and Stash listeners can get a taste of their new album, The Movement, in episode four as lead singer Michael Glabicki talks to us about the title track of the album. Get out and see live music!
SNL Star Jason Sudeikis When Jason Sudeikis stopped by the HIGH TIMES office for his March issue interview, Jen seized the opportunity to talk to him about his favorite musical moments on Saturday Night Live, as well as bands he hopes to see grace studio 8H’s stage. While bonding over their shared admiration for Ben Folds, Jen also got Sudeikis to talk about the after-after-after parties. Hint: She wants an invite!!
Coda As always, we’re posting all relevant music, videos, photos, and more on The Coda. If you just can’t get enough of The Stash, head over to The Coda for even more! Or check out our episode 4 photo gallery!
