Listen to the HIGH TIMES premiere of moe.’s new song “Billy Goat” from their latest album No Guts, No Glory.
Yes, please. I’ll gladly take moe.’s latest jam vehicle “Billy Goat” off their new album No Guts, No Glory (set for release on May 27, 2014) to debut on HIGH TIMES. If you’re not familiar with the upstate New York rockers’ jams, think of the delicious pairing of Zappa and Pink Floyd twisted with humor and a heaping side of good ol’ Americana and classic rock.
Sit back and pack yourself a nice bong load as “Billy Goat” takes you on a wild nine-minute ride. It’s an enjoyable mellow blend of vocals and striking guitar by Al Schnier and Chuck Garvey, accented by the gentle, psychedelic vibes of percussionist Jim Loughlin and drummer Vinnie Amico.
The track, bookended by Rob Derhak’s signature slap bass popping, takes a fast turn every couple minutes, ultimately building into a jamming crescendo before the chorus:
No one at all
Hoist your anchor
Damn the weather
And answer the call"
