“Hollywood Madam” Heidi Fleiss was busted with marijuana for a second time this year. Fleiss was pulled over near her Pahrump, NV home at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. Sheriff’s deputies allegedly found her to be under the influence of a “controlled substance.” A search of her Toyota SUV turned up roughly four ounces of marijuana and over $9,000 in cash.
In September, Fleiss was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell after police officers found nearly 400 plants in her home on August 7. She told the officers she planned to sell the pot to a Las Vegas medical marijuana dispensary, but admitted she didn’t have the paperwork to be a caregiver. Officials opted not to arrest her at the time because she was fully cooperative with the search, and the county was not prepared to care for the $200,000 worth of exotic birds she owns.
Fleiss was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday for an arraignment in that case.
Following her arrest on Tuesday, Fleiss was booked into Nye County jail on charges that include driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, driving with a suspended registration and driving without insurance.
She was granted bail and released later in the day after her lawyer argued she had no intent to sell the four ounces of weed.
Fleiss ran a high-end brothel in Los Angeles in the early 1990s and became America’s most notorious madam when her client list, which famously included Charlie Sheen, was made public.
