A former mayor of Saint Anthony has been arrested and charged with dealing marijuana. Fremont County Deputies went to Roy Park's Welding and Machine Shop last week and found a pound of pot.

Fremont County Sheriff Tom Stegelmeier says an investigation has been going on for at least six months.

The 57-year-old Parker was on the St. Anthony city council for ten years before serving as mayor from 1994 to 1998.

Parker posted a $30-thousand dollar bond and was released.

In Idaho, a person who was found guilty of possessing at least one pound of marijuana will be charged with trafficking, which carries a mandatory one-year sentence and a minimum fine of five thousand dollars.
