When you have a bunch of weed in the car, don't act a fool.

Someone did not heed this advice while driving in Northfield, Massachusetts on Tuesday, and the stupidity ended in a major pot bust.

Police pulled over the vehicle after another motorist complained that something thrown from it almost struck their car.

Chief Robert Leighton told WWLP that as he approached the vehicle he detected an odor of unburned marijuana. A search was requested and granted, and when the trunk of the vehicle was opened four trash bags full of freshly harvested marijuana plants was found.

The driver and passengers -- including minors in the vehicle -- are all facing charges.

The takeaway from this story? Don't be an idiot.
