On Thursday, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Davone Bess tweeted a photo of a blunt, a pile of ground up weed and a small bag of pot. In the pic, it is clear Bess is watching a documentary called Cocaine Cowboys. But apparently he isn’t impressed with the coke smuggling subjects of the flick as his tweet included the text, “We da real dons!”

Bess eventually deleted the tweet but not before both his team and the NFL were made aware of the pot pic. Browns beat reporter Mary Kay Cabot reported that Cleveland was “looking into” the photo, while NFL spokesman Greg Aiello did not specify “what the league may or may not do.”

Cabot also noted that Bess is a Rastafarian -- a Jamaican spiritual movement whose adherents regularly consume cannabis.

This isn’t Bess’ first pot pic posting. After missing the final two games of the 2013 season for “personal reasons” Bess posted a photo to his Instagram account that showed him lighting what appeared to be a joint.

Pot in the NFL made headlines earlier this week when Commissioner Roger Goodell told ESPN he wouldn’t rule out the possibility of allowing players to use medical marijuana at some point in the future.
