New York City: Pot Arrests for 2009 Second Highest Total Ever

New York City recorded the second highest amount of marijuana arrests in its history in 2009, with over 46,000 arrests for marijuana possession in public. This is up over 4,600 percent from arrests reported in 1990 (when there were less than 1,000 arrests reported).
